The Mission of AJJIF is to Preserve, Protect and Promote disappearing Traditional & Combat Ju-Jitsu in the World. Establish support, development, friendship, mutual cooperation, growth, education, and promotion of Traditional & Classical Ju-Jitsu in the World. To recognize and register all different styles & families of Ju-Jitsu in the World. To establish International Ju-Jitsu seminars and training camps. To support International Ju-Jitsu community: Organizations, Schools, Dojo’s and Clubs. To recognize, support and register International Ju-Jitsu teachers and students by recognizing their skills, and knowledge. Based on fair and honest International Recognition System of Membership and Rank Validation, Recognition and Promotion.

 

The AJJIF symbol is represented by Chrysanthemum ( kiku ) plant. Ancient Japanese family crest ( mon or monsho in Japanese ) Chrysanthemum plant represent nobility and purity. It was known as one of the "four princes" among subjects of art. Chrysanthemum plant resemblance to the sun led it to be called "sun spirit". The chrysanthemum-sun is in fact one of the most universal of ancient Japanese design motifs. Warriors use the family crest or mon for identification on the battlefield. The legends associated Chrysanthemum plant with medicinal properties and longevity. During the Heian period it was popular with aristocracy and was close associated with the imperial line.

Historical Information on the AJJIF Development & Establishment:

On 27 August, 2000, International Martial Arts Delegation met at the Katabami Ju-Jitsu Dojo,
to discuss a mutual cooperation, friendship, growth, education and development & promotion of Martial Arts & Oriental Medicine. During this historic meeting between the representatives from the Asian Martial Arts Federations, Russian Martial Arts Federations, US Martial Arts Federations and the Katabami Ryu Ju-Jitsu. It was proposed to create an International Union for Martial Arts & Oriental Medicine and Eastern Healing Arts.
Further more it was decided to create an International Institute for the study and development of Martial Arts & Oriental Medicine and Eastern Healing Arts.
To create an International Standards for teaching and testing of skills, techniques, and methods in Martial Arts & Oriental Medicine. To create and promote International Martial Arts seminars, training camps & competitions between different styles of Martial Arts. It was voted that the two different Parent International Organizations should be created with different missions, but complimenting & supporting each other. And the official names of the organizations should be respectfully: IFMAOM - International Federation of Martial Arts & Oriental Medicine and second International Organization will be:AJJIF - All Japan Ju-Jitsu International Federation.
The President, Vice President and Executive Director was elected. It was decided that the Official International Headquarters will be in the United States at the Katabami Ju-Jitsu Dojo.

On 03 September, 2000 - AJJIF Official Birthday!!!
the First Official Meeting was called, and the Historic Agreement, Recognition and Signing
of the creation of IFMAOM - International Federation of Martial Arts & Oriental Medicine.
And AJJIF - All Japan Ju-Jitsu International Federation.
It was Officially Recognized and Ratified by the representatives of Asian Martial Arts Federations, Russian Martial Arts Federations, US Martial Arts Federations and Katabami Ju-Jitsu Family.

On 02 March, 2004 the AJJIF - All Japan Ju-Jitsu International Federation and
IFMAOM - International Federation of Martial Arts & Oriental Medicine received Official Registration from
City of Los Angeles, County of Los Angeles and the State of California, USA.
And it was Registered & Added to the Archives of the Los Angeles City Administration and the State of California Court Records.

 

On 02 November, 2006 ALL JAPAN JU-JITSU INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION received Official Government Registration & Recognition as a NON-PROFIT Sports & Educational Corporation.

  • On 16 June, 2007 was establish IBMA! During the Official meeting of the Board of Directors IFMAOM & AJJIF in Sacramento, California, USA ( Soke Stanislav Holodkov Combat Karate International Federation Headquarters ). After consultation with different members of AJJIF & IFMAOM it was accepted decision about transformation of AJJIF in to the specialized Ju-Jitsu organization. Development of schools and trainings bases, conducting of seminars and competitions in Combat and Traditional Ju-Jitsu. It was decided to transform IFMAOM in to the IBMA ( International Budo Masters Association ). Uniting masters and schools of different Martial Arts and directions of Budo. For wider support, collaboration and exchange of experience & knowledge between them.

    Prof. Kenneth Penland passt away today on 08 October, 2006. One of the Founding Member of AJJIF - ALL JAPAN JU-JITSU INTERNATIONAL FEDERATION 10 Dan AJA - American Ju-Jitsu Association ( Prof. George Kirby ), 10 Dan Daito Ryu Ju-Jitsu USA ( Prof. John Denora ), 10 Dan European Union JuJutsu ( Prof. Bell ), 10 Dan Ju-Jitsu AJJIF ( Prof. Alexey Kunin ), 9 Dan Karate - Do, 9 Dan Judo, Chairman of the International Shorinji Ryu Jujitsu Federation, President of the Kyu Shin Ryu Federation, Chief Martial Arts Instructor of the Los Angeles Police Department Ju-Jitsu and Defensive Tactics Dojo. He was a true legend in the Martial Arts Community. We are all going to miss this Legendary Grand Master.
