- «REI»  – a bow.
- «HAJIME» - start the fight.
- «MATE» - stop.
The Usage of the Command "МАТЕ"

  • When one or both fighters stepped out beyond the working zone.
  • When one or both fighters took forbidden actions.
  • When one or both fighters are injured or taken ill.
  • When it is necessary to put right the JUDOGI of one or both fighters.
  • When the  fight in a lying position does not have a visible actions progress.
  • When one of the fighters carries out or tries to carry out a painful or submission hold from the standing or lying position and does not achieve an immediate result.
  • In any other case, when the arbiter considers it necessary.
  • When the arbiter and side referees or the Judicial Commission want to hold consultations.

Giving the command "МАТЕ", the arbiter has to see the competitors in case if they did not hear the command and continue fighting.

The arbiter should not announce "МАТЕ" for stopping a competitor (competitors) getting out beyond the working zone, if the situation does not constitute a danger.

  • If the arbiter announces "МАТЕ" mistakenly when the competitors were fighting at the lying position and after that they changed their position, the arbiter and side referees may return the fighters at their previous position, if  it is possible according to the rule “most of three”and restart the fight preventing the infringement of interests of one of the fighters.
  • After  a "МАТЕ" announcement the competitors should take primary positions, from which they started the fight.
  • When the arbiter has announced "МАТЕ",  the competitors have to take their places, if it is suggested to put right their uniform or take a seat, if a long pose is expected. A competitor may take a different position only in the process of a medical aid.

A non-appearance at the fight, giving up the fight or its prolongation - eliminating.

A sportsman, who does not appear at the fight after three times call during one minute, is considered to be a loser, and it is given the clear victory to his opponent -10 points.

A sportsman, who is refused the fight before its beginning or “capitulated” during the fight, is considered to be a loser and gets 0 points, his opponent gets 10 points.

If the doctor of the competition decides to eliminate a sportsman because of getting traumas,  that is considered to be the “capitulation” with 10 points to the opponent.

But if the trauma is got as the result of forethought breaking rules by the opponent, and a sportsman cannot continue to take part in the competition, both sportsmen are eliminated and the breaker gets 0 points.
If during the fight a sportsman asks for a doctor himself, he is eliminated.

A trainer or an assistant may be moved away beyond the officials area for a disgraceful behaviour against the judges or the opponents.

The fighters may receive punishment for a disgraceful (offensive, hindering judges) behaviour from the members of the team and fans. The team may be eliminated with annulling the results.
